The story of
Millie Dillmount is fresh off the train from Kansas and determined
to conquer Manhattan, marry her boss (whomever he might turn out
to be) and become a thoroughly modern woman. New York holds a
few surprises for our heroine, and Millie needs all of her smarts to
find a job, manage life at the somewhat mysterious boarding house,
