SUMMER PROGRAM 2012
23
July 2012
Welcome to a special musical night under the stars
at The Muny. Edward Jones is pleased to sponsor this
production of the ever-popular
Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor
®
Dreamcoat
.
Many of us can only imagine what it’s like to live in a family
of 12 brothers, but this Tony Award®-nominated show
reaffirms the enduring strength of family ties. The music of
Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice has enthralled theater-
goers for decades.
The Muny is a St. Louis treasure, and it wouldn’t officially be
summer without enjoying the best of Broadway right here.
This is America’s oldest and largest outdoor musical theater,
and it holds a special place in our hearts.
Edward Jones is also a St. Louis institution and is proud to
have served our community since 1922, when Edward D.
Jones Sr. opened our first office downtown. Just four years
earlier, in 1918, The Muny started the summer tradition we
enjoy to this day. We support the theater and the arts in our
community because we believe they enrich our lives and
help make St. Louis a finer place to live.
In the story, Joseph was a dreamer, but in the end he pros-
pered against all odds. His story encourages us all to believe
in happy endings. I hope you have a wonderful evening –
enjoying the stars on stage as well as those in the sky.
Sincerely,
Jim Weddle
