SETH JACKSON
(
Lighting Designer
) has
designed worldwide tours for Don Henley,
Jason Mraz, Hilary Duff, Melissa Etheridge,
American Idols Live
, Carrie Underwood,
Toby Keith, and Barry Manilow. He is
currently co-designing a new tour for Alice
Cooper
with his co-designer for
Thoroughly
Modern Millie,
Nathan W. Scheuer. He has
twice been awarded the Parnelli Award for
Set Designer of the Year in 2007 and 2008,
and received the Illuminating Engineering
Society’s Award of Distinction in 1996.
He was awarded the Redden Award for
Excellence in Lighting Design with the
creative team for
Star Wars in Concert
, and
traveled with the show as associate creative
director and lighting director. He was
creative director and production designer for
Selena Gomez,
and
Barry Manilow’s Music
and Passion
, which ran at the Las Vegas
Hilton for five years.
He is an assistant
professor of design at Webster University’s
Conservatory of Theatre Arts. He is thrilled
to return to The Muny and to remember
all those years ago sitting in the free seats
thinking, “I want to do that!”
