Shrek

Shrek is a homely and lonely ogre, sent out into the world at the tender age of seven years by his parents.  Fiona is a beautiful princess, trapped in a castle guarded by a fire-breathing dragon.  Shrek and his wise-cracking companion, Donkey, are hired by Lord Farquaad of DuLoc to rescue Fiona, but Farquaad’s plans include marrying the princess himself. Shrek fights the dragon, rescues the feisty princess and on their journey learns that he and the princess have much in common. But what secret does Fiona hide? With the help of the Gingerbread Man, Pinocchio and other fairy-tale misfits, the unlikely pair learns that beauty really is more than skin deep, and that real friendship and love aren’t only found in fairy tales.
