Synopsis:   

A daughter of a Turkish pasha falls in love with a young poet, with whom she has corresponded although they have never met. Her father the Pasha has decreed that Rose must marry another. Rose does marry her father's choice, but on her wedding night she learns that her poet is leaving for Stamboul that very evening. She locks her new husband in his room and follows her poet.
